Mom’s Danish Herring

Ingredients:

6 herrrings, soaked overnight and cut in pieces

1 cup onion – diced

1 cup apple – diced

1/2 cup oil

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup tomato paste

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon dry mustard

3/4 cup vinegar

Method:

Combine all ingredients, and refrigerate in air-tight jar.
