Frances’s Buttermilk Rusks

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar + some

1 small Rivyon (buttermilk – 250 ml)

200 gr butter

about 3 pkts Self-Raising flour (1 pkt = 350 gr)

pinch salt

Method:

  1. Mix sugar and buttermilk.
  2. Rub flour, butter, and salt to mix.
  3. Mix all ingredients, and form four rolls.
  4. Bake till dry.
  5. Cool slightly, slice thickly, and place slices on baking trays to dry in very low oven.  Turn during baking.
