Gran’s Haroset


6 apples – peeled, cored and grated coarsely

150 gr walnuts – chopped

3 Tablespoons ground cinnamon

3 Tablespoons honey

6-8 Tablespoons sweet red wine


Place apples and walnuts in large bowl. Sprinkle cinnamon over, and stir in honey and sweet wine.

Refrigerate until serving.

4 eggs

1 cup sugar

one-third cup breadcrumbs (or matza meal if you want to use this recipe for Pessach)

100 gr coarsely chopped walnuts


1 container sweet cream (250 ml), whipped with 2 teasp sugar and 1 teasp nescafe or cocoa
